Letham Primary School, Perth
We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and innovative Early Years and Childcare Support Worker to join our large, friendly team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to step into the profession and progress a career in childcare, gaining experience while being supported to gain a childcare qualification.
As part of our 2 – 12 service, you will help to welcome and support our breakfast club children and young people by offering breakfast, a variety of activities and a homely environment.
The role is child focused which requires patience and kindness along with a welcoming approach to generate a feeling of trust and safety for children and their family / carers.
A flexible approach to working conditions will be required to work; the contracted hours are 6 hours per week, term-time, between 7.48am – 9am.
Our aim is to provide high quality child-centred Early Learning and Childcare (aged 2-12 years) which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity.
Requirements
You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting employment.
The Individual
The ability to work in a team situation is essential and a flexible approach to working with children aged 2-12 years old and their parents is required.
