Main Purpose of the Role

Working within Perth & Kinross Council is more than a job, it's about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch.

We currently have the following opportunity:

Enhanced Pupil Support Assistant (Fixed Term until 4 January 2026) - PKC13210
£11,918 - £12,971 (18 Hours per week, Term-time only)
Fairview School, Perth

Fairview School is located on the Perth Academy / Viewlands Primary School campus and is the Authority’s school for children and young people with severe and complex additional support needs aged 3-18.

We seek an experienced and enthusiastic pupil support assistant with experience of supporting children and young people with additional support needs to work at this outstanding school.

This post may involve working over several classes 3 days per week (18 hours plus time for a team meeting before school starts once per week).

Working with our young people is very rewarding and no two days are the same.

Interviews will be held in person, approximately one week after the post closes with a view to the successful candidate starting as soon as possible.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate should be flexible and a team player.

Training will be provided but the right attitude is essential.

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in an Additional Support Needs setting or other school environment but the drive to support young people to be the best they can be is vital.
