Main Purpose of the Role

Working within Perth & Kinross Council is more than a job. It's about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch.

We currently have the following opportunity:

Head Teacher (PKC13482)
£76,035
Luncarty Primary School

Are you an enthusiastic and inspiring leader with the skills, confidence and energy to make a positive impact on the lives of our children?

We are seeking someone who can lead our school community, develop learning and teaching and ensure that all pupils achieve their full potential.

You should have experience of leading aspects of improvement across a school. You should be able to talk about your leadership skills and the impact the improvement activity has had on outcomes for learners. You should have experience of leading a team. This could include leading a working group or staff team to drive improvement.

Ideally, you will also have experience in a leadership post which could include a middle leader, central officer or headteacher post. You will be confident in leading learning and teaching at all stages, supporting positive relationships and behaviour, and building pupil voice to inform whole school improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a rural school with a nursery class and out of school club to demonstrate the school values of Kindness, Responsibility, Respect, Teamwork and Trust. You will be supported by your QIO, be linked with a peer Headteacher who will be your Critical Colleague, and have access to a Headteacher induction programme; the Leading Change Programme.
