Are you an organised, motivated individual with a passion for providing excellent system support?
If so, the MyView team are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our small and dynamic team that delivers effective support to managers and employees by providing advice and guidance on the use of the Council’s MyView and Optimum (Flexi) system.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain a wide range of skills in a systems team and will have opportunities to learn and develop with ever changing technology and improvements.
This is a Maternity cover post, Fixed Term for up to 12 months and anticipated to be until 30 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for MyView enquiries (phone, email and in person).
- Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of leave management within the integrated HR & Payroll systems.
- Maintain the council’s time recording system, by receiving, verifying and inputting any manual flexi adjustments and deal with all related enquiries.
- Provide advice and training to line managers and employees on all integrated HR & Payroll systems internally and remotely as required.
- Allocation of employee numbers for new staff joining PKC and providing access to MyView and Optimum systems.
- Process vacancies and change of circumstances requests through the PKC Staff Portal.
- Carry out leave calculations and process leaver forms through MyView and ResourceLink.
- Any other system related duties allocated by the Line Manager.
Skills & Experience Required
- An excellent communicator with a professional and courteous manner.
- Great customer service skills in person and on the phone.
- Proactive, reliable, and a great team player.
- Able to work independently and manage conflicting demands.
- Well organised and prioritise effectively.
- Good IT skills that include Microsoft Office packages and EDMS.
- Experience of using MyView, Optimum and ResourceLink or similar management system.
- A positive attitude to change and contributing to service improvements.
