Interim Director – Integrated Health & Social Care / Chief Officer, Perth & Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership

Salary: 

  • Perth & Kinross Council: £151,122 (Chief Officer Grade, SCP51)
  • NHS Tayside: £115,682 - £153,149 (Executive Grade F)

Base: Perth & Kinross Council offices, with regular presence at NHS Tayside HQ (hybrid working available)

Perth & Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is seeking an Interim Director - Integrated Health and Social Care/Chief Officer. 

This is a temporary appointment for up to six months, pending the outcome of the permanent recruitment to the Chief Officer recruitment.  The postholder will provide leadership, continuity and stability during a critical period of transition, ensuring the continued delivery of strategic priorities and the safe, effective performance of delegated services.  

As Interim Chief Officer, you will provide strategic leadership to the Integration Joint Board (IJB), overseeing strategic planning, operational management, commissioning and performance across all delegated functions.  You will champion person centred‑, preventative and sustainable services, with a strong focus on tackling health inequalities and improving outcomes for communities.

Working closely with the Chief Executives of NHS Tayside and Perth & Kinross Council, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, leading complex system change, and strengthening collaborative relationships across partners.  This includes close working with the third and independent sectors, HSCPs in Dundee and Angus, community organisations and wider public services.

We are looking for a high-calibre, resilient and values ‑driven leader with significant senior experience of operating within complex public sector‑ systems. You will bring strong strategic leadership capability and political awareness, a proven track record of partnership and system leadership.  The ability to lead transformation, inspire confidence and maintain momentum during the transition period and the ability to maintain momentum and confidence during this organisational transition. 

This interim role offers a unique opportunity to make meaningful impact at a pivotal time for the Partnership.
