Did you know that Perth & Kinross Council is home to a private rented sector lettings agency? In fact, Perth & Kinross Council has one of the most developed private rented sector teams and the initiatives offered are nationally recognised.

The team delivers initiatives including the Rent Bond Guarantee Scheme, PKC Lets and the Empty Homes Initiative.

This is a unique role in housing, which provides an opportunity to actively bridge the gap between social housing and private rented sector.

The role covers all aspects of property letting and management, such as marketing, conducting property viewings and inspections, management of maintenance issues as well compliance and rent related matters.

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for an individual who has a good knowledge of housing, ideally with a specific interest in the Private Rented Sector and a passion for making a difference to others.

You will enjoy engaging with private landlords and letting agents to promote good property and management standards, offering support to landlords to achieve the repairing standard and working with colleagues in Landlord Registration as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are dedicated to working to a high standard and provide excellent customer service as well as possess excellent planning and organisational skills.

Common sense and attention to detail are essential.

Supervisory skills are required as the post holder will be responsible for assisting with the management of contractors.

A good working knowledge in the use of computer packages including Microsoft applications including Excel.

A housing qualification, relating to letting and managing residential property or prior experience in private rented sector role would be advantageous.

A valid UK driving licence would be preferable as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth & Kinross.
