An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our faculty of Pupil Support as a Pupil Care and Welfare Officer.

This is a temporary position to 31 March 2025 covering a secondment and could be extended beyond that date.

We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, resilient and ambitious practitioner who has experience of working with young people who have varying identified needs.

You will provide support to pupils in S1 to S6 and investigate attendance anomalies, supervise pupils at social times in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and work closely with Principal Teachers of Guidance to ensure the wellbeing, equality and inclusion for our young people.

The Individual

We are looking for a highly motivated person who has experience of working with young people.

It is essential that you have effective communication and IT skills and a flexible approach.  

You must have the ability to demonstrate sensitivity and patience within this role and have an appreciation of the issues that young people and their families may experience.
