Perth Grammar School is looking to recruit a compassionate and enthusiastic Pupil Support Assistant to join our dedicated Pupil Support team.

In this role, you will support children and young people with additional support needs (ASN) to access a meaningful and inclusive curriculum. Working closely with teachers and other colleagues, you will help pupils to achieve their full potential and support their academic, social and emotional development.

 As a Pupil Support Assistant, your duties may include:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and within the classroom.
  • Assisting with positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes and wider school activities.
  • Providing intimate care where required.
  • Using ICT to support learning and engagement.
  • Contributing to personal learning plans and inclusive practice.

Skills & Experience Required

What We're Looking For

  • Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children and young people with additional support needs (ASN).
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
  • Commitment to our school values: Pride, Respect and Ambition.

Experience with ICT, moving and handling, and behaviour support is desirable but not essential.
