Pupil Support Assistant (Fixed Term until 16 August 2026) - PKC13426
£3,413 - £3,597 (5.5 Hours per week, Term-time only)

As a Pupil Support Assistant, you may be responsible for supporting children and young people who have additional support needs to access the curriculum under the direction of teachers and senior managers, this would also include supporting positive behaviour management programmes and contributing to personal learning plans.

Other support may involve active learning, assisting pupils with intimate care routines when required, and supervising pupils in the playground or out of school events or activities.

Sensitivity is also required when dealing with any care routines and to respect confidentiality at all times.

The role is varied and rewarding with the opportunity to work on a one to one and with groups of children.

The post may include supervising children during break times along with the rest of our Pupil Support Team.

Ideally you will have experience of supporting children but training can be provided.

This role is currently based working with our Primary pupils.

We are looking for someone who has a positive outlook, is enthusiastic, flexible and can work well independently and as part of our small team.

A genuine interest in the development of children and their wellbeing is essential and the important qualities are empathy, patience and an ability to engage with children and young people.
