We are looking for an individual with strong attention to detail to join the Records management team. The Records and Information Assistant will be providing support and assistance to the Records and Information Officer in overseeing records management activities.

You will work closely with the Records and Information Officer overseeing the life cycle of records and ensuring these are kept accurately and in line with the Council's Records retention schedule.

The post holder will:

- Support day to day management of records management activities.
- Assist with records digitalisation.
- Assist the Records and Information officer with creation and management of EDMS requests.
- Provide administration support to ensure compliance with records management best practice.

Skills & Experience Required

The person should ideally:

• Be able to work in records storage environments.
• Computer literate with proven IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and outlook.
• Experience of responsibility for the management of personal or otherwise confidential information.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and/or other electronic document management system/s (EDMS)
