A vacancy has arisen in the North Locality Health and Social Care Team.

This team manages long term cases within the North locality and supports adults aged 16+ across all client groups requiring social work interventions, supports and services. The Reviewing Officer supports the safe and effective delivery of Care at Home services by undertaking timely reviews and assessments of care packages for adults across all client groups. The role ensures that services remain person‑centred, appropriately commissioned, and aligned to assessed need.

Key functions include:

  • Completing reviews that maintain vulnerable people safely in the community.
  • Supporting the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the locality team and contributing to quality monitoring.
  • Gathering, recording and analysing assessment information using departmental systems to ensure accurate data, reporting and compliance.
  • Communicating effectively with service users, carers, professionals and partner agencies to support coordinated care.

The successful applicant will assist the team in maintaining vulnerable people in the community by providing a range of tasks and support the smooth running of the team’s day-to-day operations while supporting the Quality Monitoring Officer. 

The successful candidate will be required to work Thursdays and Fridays.

Skills & Experience Required

The ideal candidate will be motivated, engaging and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Effective time management is essential.

There is an expectation that short listed candidates will meet all the requirements stated here.

Practice – Essential to hold:

  • SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 7 (Was SVQ3).

Strong communication skills — able to liaise professionally with colleagues, other professionals, service users and families.

Effective time management — able to meet tight deadlines, prioritise workload, and work flexibly across varied situations.

Organisational skills — maintaining accurate records, managing databases, producing reports, and ensuring high‑quality documentation.

Team working — able to build positive working relationships and work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary environment.

Decision-making ability — capable of working independently, using initiative, and applying objectivity in complex or challenging situations.

Customer care competencies — empathy, sensitivity, respect for dignity, and adherence to equality/anti‑discriminatory practice.

You must have:

  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • The ability to cope with the demands of the role and maintain reliable attendance.
  • A professional, courteous approach in all internal and external interactions.
  • A valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
