This is an opportunity to advance into a senior technical role within the Council’s Property Division.
We are recruiting a Senior Architectural Technician to work on a significant and varied work scope with a focus on ensuring that the Council’s operational property estate is resilient and compliant, satisfying low carbon and energy targets set by Climate Change policies.
Candidates must have suitable technical skills, knowledge, and experience across a wide range of property types, contracts and have the ability to deliver projects, of varying size and complexity, to programme, budget, and quality standard. Candidates must be skilled in the use of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM Collaborate Pro and other Office software applications and able to work independently or as part of a Design Team. T
he successful candidate will be expected to be able to plan and manage competing priorities; lead teams of internal and external technical staff to deliver both capital and revenue funded projects; develop and present innovative solutions to challenges and be a confident and articulate communicator.

Requirements
You must hold the requisite qualification and have an appreciable level of experience gained within a Construction/Property Office to evidence a wide range of work undertaken.
You will be proficient in AutoCAD/Revit, have knowledge of Passivhaus design/delivery principles including BIM systems, and an understanding of the Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM).
It is expected you will have well-developed written, oral and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate confidently, clearly and precisely with a wide and varied “audience”. You will treat others with dignity and respect.
You will be educated to HNC/HND in Building/Architectural Technology or equivalent level, and have appropriate level of experience within a property related or construction field.
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
