Housing Repairs Service, Pullar House, Perth
The Housing Repairs Service is looking for an enthusiastic individual to come and join us as Senior Clerical Assistant working within a small team providing admin support to Project Managers and Team Leaders across various sections of the service. This is an important role in a service which is fast-paced and varied.
You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries regarding improvement and maintenance work being carried out by the Capital Projects & New Build Team. Enquiries are received from the public, Council tenants, private owners, Council employees and outside Agencies via a variety of channels (telephone, email and online). You will be able to maintain a professional approach when responding in an efficient and courteous manner, using your initiative to resolve problems.
You will be responsible for maintaining our Asset Management systems and ensuring the accurate input, collation and retrieval of information.
You will be responsible for financial payments to external contractors and issuing invoices to our customers. Knowledge of Integra would be beneficial.
You will be required to organise and attend meetings to take minutes / action notes.
You will be able to demonstrate your excellent organisational skills and be able to work under pressure to manage conflicting demands, sometimes within tight timescales.
You will be one of 6 Senior Clerical Assistants reporting to our Admin Assistant. You'll need to demonstrate a real commitment to meeting the needs of our customers, and to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of customer care.

The Individual
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, committed individual who is well organised and works well as part of a team. You should be flexible in your approach to work in order to manage conflicting demands and be computer literate with proven IT skills in Microsoft Office applications.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deal effectively with internal and external customers in all areas of work; demonstrating good working relationships and the ability to deal effectively with enquiries and requests.
Ideally you will have knowledge of Perth and Kinross Council's services and it would be beneficial that you have knowledge and experience of a variety of computer systems, including Microsoft packages. These skills are not essential as full training will be provided so you must be willing to learn and take on new information quickly.
