£13,918 - £15,147 (18 Hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Children and Young People’s Finance Support Team, who are based within the Assessment and Charging Team. This post is part time, working 2 full days (Monday and Tuesday) and a half day on a Wednesday.

This is a Hybrid Working role in accordance with the current PKC Hybrid working guidance. Initially, the successful candidate will be required to work in the office full time for a period to receive training appropriate to the role.

The main duties of the role consists of the following:

  • Foster and Kinship payment cycles ensuring these are processed both accurately and timeously.
  • Process Education Maintenance Allowance applications and payments in accordance with Scottish Government’s policy and guidelines.
  • Processing of DWP weekly payments.
  • Processing of monthly Direct Payments.
  • Ensure Purchase Ledger invoices are processed timeously to meet prescribed PKC performance indicators.
  • Ensure that all records/documentation/backup related to payments detailed above are saved electronically within relevant formats.
  • Provide support as required to both internal and external customers.

 

Skills & Experience Required

This opportunity would suit a dynamic individual who has a flair to provide an excellent internal and external customer service.

The post holder must have a good standard of general education and be able to comfortably complete arithmetical calculations accurately, making use of Excel to a high level where required.  You will also be expected to communicate with others courteously both in writing and verbally.

The postholder will maintain and promote appropriate organisational behaviours and should also be able to demonstrate that they have and maintain the following attributes:

  • Working knowledge of computer based financial packages and financial transactions and be able to provide support for the same when required.
