As part of Children, Families and Justice Service, the Throughcare Aftercare team offer support to young people aged 15–26 across Perth and Kinross.

We currently have a full-time, permanent Senior Practitioner position within the team.

Roles and responsibilities include case responsibility for care experienced young people as well as a supervisory role, managing a small team of senior social care officers/community learning assistants and deputising in the Team Leaders absence.

You will be responsible for the production of assessments; pathway plans and representation at multiagency forums.

Skills & Experience Required

Applicants must be a qualified Social Worker, registered with the SSSC.

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with experience of leadership who is compassionate, patient and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

You will be someone who can use initiative, can lead by example, build trust, communicate confidently and work creatively to engage staff and young people.

You will be responsible to the Team Leader for Throughcare Aftercare and based at City Base, 68-86 Scott St, Perth, however you be required support young people who may be living out-with the local authority area.

You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
