Senior Reablement Assistant - PKC13753
£31,759 - £34,011
Pullar House, Perth
This is an exciting opportunity within the Home Assessment Recovery Team (HART).
The breadth and depth of knowledge and capability that a modern carer requires has changed greatly over time. The capacity and skills of carers must be of a high quality and sustainable. A preventative approach, as used within HART, requires carers to have increased knowledge of medical conditions, reablement interventions, medications and personal preferences, end of life care, while delivering complex support to individuals with intensive needs.
There is an enthusiastic workforce within HART, with staff who are eager to learn and take on additional responsibility.
We are now in a position to recruit a Senior Reablement Assistant. This role will involve being a champion for several tasks within the Reablement Assistant role, for example medication, moving and handling, skin integrity, falls, and delivering training to Reablement Assistants and Social Care Officers. The post will involve supporting the delivery of training and informing service development. There is flexibility within the role, and your particular interests will be supported and encouraged.
Senior Reablement Assistants support colleagues working out in the community and provide on-call support for evening work and weekend duties via telephone, as well as support in line with the service rota.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience who wishes to develop their career in care, either within fieldwork or an office-based environment.
Please note that we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.
