If your answer is yes, this is your chance to join our Health and Social Care Partnership as a Social Care Officer, within Parkdale Residential Care Home Auchterarder.

We are looking to recruit 3 x 24 Hours per week Social Care Officers.

Parkdale is a purpose built residential unit which provides permanent and respite supported accommodation for those individuals who, for reasons of age or disability, are no longer able to live fully independent lives within the community.

Our team provide supportive tailored care to ensure we meet our residents individual needs.

As a successful post holder, you will be responsible for:

  • Following individual support plans.
  • Supporting residents to maintain their independence.
  • Supporting residents based on their assessed needs.
  • Supporting residents with personal care tasks when required to enable the person to reach their optimum level of independence.
  • Monitoring  and promoting health & wellbeing of residents.
  • Supporting residents to access community facilities / activities.
  • Supporting residents to recognise and achieve their potential.
  • Protecting individuals from risk or abuse and to report any concerns through appropriate process.
  • Ensuing Health & Safety for yourself and residents' in line with PKC policy and procedures.
  • Participating in assessments.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on residents' progress.
  • Complying with the National Care Standards and SSSC Codes of Practice.

Skills & Experience Required

You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

As part of this registration commitment, you will undertake your own personal development and work towards recognised qualification.

There is no entry qualification requirement, but you will be required and supported to work towards SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 (was SVQ3).
