Supply General Assistant - PKC13904
£13.66 per hour
Bertha Park High School, Perth

This is a temporary position to cover absence. You will have the opportunity to be placed on the supply list as a General Assistant and be offered available hours.

You will be working as part of a team to provide a professional technical service to the whole school. This will predominantly involve supporting Home Economics, as well as other practical subjects, working alongside the School Technician.

Throughout the year, there are several in‑school events in which this post holder will be involved in supporting. These include pupil vaccinations, school photographs and hospitality.

This role involves liaising with both internal and external customers, and you will need to demonstrate a professional, customer‑focused approach, with the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. You will be using various online systems such as PECOS, Microsoft packages and SEEMiS, therefore basic IT skills are essential. Training will be provided for these systems.

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of food hygiene and be prepared to undertake a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. They must be able to work with all kinds of foods, as preparation and storage of these ingredients will be an integral part of the role.

This is a varied role and, although you will have a range of whole-school tasks, you will be timetabled to support the Home Economics Department
