Main Purpose of the Role

Taxi Escort (Fixed Term until 1 July 2027) – PKC14127
£8,546- £8,928 (12 hours, Term Time only)
Breadalbane Academy, Aberfeldy

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and professional individual to support one of our young people during the transportation to and from school.

As a Taxi Escort, you will help ensure young passengers travel safely, comfortably, and on time. You will provide reassurance, supervision, and support throughout the journey, working closely with drivers, parents/carers, schools, and transport coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany children and young people during transport journeys.
  • Ensure of the young persons' safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Provide assistance when boarding and leaving the vehicle where appropriate.
  • Provide a calm, supportive, and positive environment during travel.
  • Maintain appropriate behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
  • Communicate any concerns or incidents promptly to the relevant manager.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and transport procedures.

  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Is reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.
  • Can work independently and as part of a wider transport team.
