If so, Blairgowrie High School is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking Teacher of Physical Education to join our vibrant and supportive team on a full time, permanent basis.
Located in the thriving town of Blairgowrie, our school is proud of its strong community ethos and commitment to providing high quality learning experiences for every young person.
We are looking for a PE specialist who will bring energy, creativity and excellent teaching practice to our Physical Education department.
As a Teacher of Physical Education, you will:
- Deliver high quality, engaging PE lessons across S1–S6 in line with Curriculum for Excellence and national benchmarks.
- Promote health, wellbeing, physical activity and positive lifestyles for all young people.
- Contribute to a wide range of curricular and extra curricular sporting activities.
- Use effective assessment and tracking strategies to support learner progress.
- Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and support whole school improvement.

Skills & Experience Required
We are seeking a committed and professional teacher who:
- Holds a relevant degree in Physical Education (e.g., BA/BS/MA in Physical Education or Sports Science with PGDE/PGCE).
- Is fully registered or eligible for registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in the Secondary Physical Education category.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and a passion for engaging young people in physical activity.
- Can deliver a broad range of activities, ideally including team sports, individual performance, fitness, outdoor learning, and health & wellbeing.
- Shows enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous professional learning.
