£28,831 - £31,740
Transportation and Development Team, Pullar House, Perth

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified person to join the Transportation & Development Team in the Planning & Development service at Perth & Kinross Council.

Perth and Kinross is at the heart of Scotland and, as well as being a beautiful area with easy connections to all points north, west, east and south, holds ambitious plans for sustainable economic growth. This ambition seeks to harness the innovation and creativity of the area – capitalising on our natural assets, great connections and the talent and potential of our communities. Indeed, the Council itself is making major investments in areas including our education facilities, whilst the cultural scene is also recovering from the pandemic period. In addition, the Tay Cities Deal will also be a catalyst for further growth. Beyond this, we are also working hard to mitigate climate change, improve environments and ensure all can lead healthy and active lives in a low-carbon energy efficient environment.

As well as being a great place to live and work, Perth & Kinross Council provides opportunities for training and development and a chance to be involved in projects that will define your career whilst shaping the future of our city, towns, smaller settlements and countryside. You’ll benefit from hybrid working arrangements, excellent annual leave entitlements, annual leave purchase scheme, pension scheme, flexible working arrangements, car lease scheme and many other employee benefits including cycle to work scheme, corporate leisure membership and staff wellbeing support.

The successful candidate will join the Transportation & Development Team to play a key role in achieving sustainable and inclusive places. - carrying out system administration for spatial aspects of the Council's Idox UNIform system

- forming part of the Council's statutory street naming service

- providing technical and project support to place-related strategy and policy projects

As this role requires a wide range of technical experience, there will be formal and on-the-job training available as needed, however a demonstrated willingness and proactive approach to learning is important.
