Technician - Road Safety - PKC10002
£32,210 - £35,532
Pullar House, Perth

As Road Safety Technician, you will design and supervise works in accordance with the appropriate legislation, recommended standards and Council and Roads Service Policy.

This will primarily consist of delivering projects such as new footways, traffic signs, road markings and various traffic calming measures.

The role will also involve the investigation of road safety concerns and responding to correspondence.

The Roads Service as a whole is responsible for a wide range of technical work and staff may be required to carry out other tasks within the department, compatible with their abilities, as its priorities might require.

The Individual

An enthusiastic and experienced person is required to become a member of the Road Safety Team.

You must have a minimum of HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) or be registered as EngTech and be able to demonstrate experience in the delivery of Road Safety projects.

You should also have good communication skills and be competent in the use of MS Office applications and be able to demonstrate experience in using specialist design software such as AutoCAD.
