Perth & Kinross Council is seeking an HGV Mechanic / Technician within Fleet Management.
You must have knowledge, skills and experience in the repair & maintenance of heavy goods and light vehicles as you will be responsible for ensuring that the Councils fleet of vehicles is maintained to both DVSAs and Perth & Kinross Council standards.

Successful candidates who have been short listed for interview will be required to complete a practical workshop assessment.
Requirements
As a time served HGV Motor Mechanic, you must hold a Full C+E Driving Licence and have experience of the repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles, heavy plant and equipment, with an excellent working knowledge of hydraulics and electrical repairs.
A MOT Tester qualification or willingness to undertake training to become an MOT tester within 6 months of appointment is essential, as you will be required to carry out MOT and Taxi Testing duties.
The ability to work within a pressured environment and be able to meet own and team deadlines is vital.
