A vacancy has arisen within the integrated Perth and Kinross Occupational Therapy Service for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with experience of working with vulnerable people in the community. It is a Full time permanent post.

Based in the South East Locality, Kinross and beautiful rural surrounding areas.

Your role will be to improve a person’s quality of life and you will undertake comprehensive assessments and arrange the provision of equipment, adaptations and community supports to assist individuals to achieve their optimum level of independence in the community.

Urgent OT assessments at home will be required within this role and this must be holistic and personalised to avoid layering services and duplication of assessments and visits.

For purposes of connection and collaboration with colleagues and with the community we serve, our full-time employees work on site for a minimum of 2 days per week with the arrangements for part time employees being agreed on a basis which will ensure that they benefit to an equivalent degree. Requirements

We are looking for someone with a flexible approach and a broad range of assessment skills who can respond to the changing needs of individuals. If you can demonstrate experience of multi-disciplinary working and a commitment to working closely with colleagues and promotion of community-based services, you will fit right in.

As an Occupational Therapist within the team you will be required to work with people of all ages who require specialist OT assessment and intervention. You will be expected to undertake comprehensive assessments and to arrange the provision of equipment, adaptations and community supports to assist individuals to achieve their optimum level of independence in the community.

You will have strong assessment skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively with service users and carers. You will be able to demonstrate experience of multi-disciplinary working and be committed to working closely with colleagues from other disciplines.

You must be able to work effectively within a team and demonstrate a commitment to improving service provision. You will have good organisational skills and be able to manage a busy caseload. Excellent verbal and written skills are essential.

You must have Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
You must be registered with HCPC.
Significant post qualification experience is highly desirable.
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
