Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995. The Joint Board is responsible for providing professional valuation and electoral registration services within the jurisdictions of Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, and Inverclyde Councils. This encompasses the compilation and maintenance of Valuation Rolls, Council Tax Valuation Lists, and Registers of Electors.

Role Overview : Trainee Valuer
Based in Paisley the successful candidate will assist the Joint Board’s Valuation Team in the administration and undertaking of inspections of lands and heritages within the Board’s geographical area for the purposes of the Lands Valuations Acts and the Local Government Finance Act 1992.
You will assist a qualified or other suitably experienced member of the Valuation Team in maintaining a portfolio of survey work under appropriate supervision. You will assist in maintaining all property files to an appropriate standard by writing survey reports, drawing plans and calculating areas and you should have a high standard of report writing/presentational skills.
Position on the salary scale is dependent on qualification and experience, if entry level you must have the necessary qualifications to gain entry to and work towards achieving a BSc in Construction and the Built Environment Degree Course or equivalent. Progression through the salary scale is conditional upon satisfactory completion of the various stages and this is detailed in the Job Outline.
A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes is essential for this role.

- A car owner with a full driving licence and use of a car for work.
