Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time full time Grade 5 Admin Assistant (temporary) in the Senior Management Support team for a period of two year.
The role, based at Council HQ (with hybrid working), is very varied in its content and regularly uses software packages such as Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
As part of a team of 3 you will provide a wide variety of admin support, in line with procedures and guidelines, to a number of senior managers and Chief Officers across a range of services including Education, Adult Social Care, Adult Social Work, Resilient Communities and other departments such as Emergency Planning.
You will arrange, attend and take minutes at various meetings such as Adult Social Care Governance Group, Trade Union meetings, Safety Advisory Groups, Borders Housing Alliance and Local Negotiating Committee for Teachers, amongst others. In addition you will be required to update meeting Action Trackers; circulate agendas and minutes; monitor the team mailbox and action/respond to enquiries appropriately.
Other duties will include support for the wider team such as assisting with coordination of Freedom of Information Requests, assisting with the organisation of some large school events and a variety of administrative tasks for the various Chief Officers/departments such as organisation of Long Service Awards, Resilient Communities & Core Response Group Contact Lists and School Improvement Plans/Reports.
Essential
HNC in a related discipline, or other relevant qualification OR equivalent experience, knowledge and skills necessary to undertake the role.
