Role Purpose
Scottish Borders Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Catering Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality school meals across a designated group of schools. This role involves the day-to-day coordination of catering services, supporting and supervising catering teams, and ensuring compliance with national nutritional standards, food safety legislation and Council procedures. You will work closely with schools and internal colleagues to ensure a consistent, efficient and customer-focused service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering professional who is ready to take the next step into a coordinating and leadership role within a large, supportive public sector organisation.

Essential
SVQ 4 / HND in Business Management
SVQ 2 in Catering & Hospitality or appropriate equivalent.
REHIS Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
REHIS Elementary Food and Health Certificate
Health and Safety Risk Assessment COSHH
The post-holder will be required to work towards achieving the City & Guilds Manual Handling
Train the Trainer certified Instructor.
