Role Purpose
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our existing team of Coordinators within the Facilities Service.
This seconded position will not only support the existing team but will also aid in the career development of the successful applicant by providing a hands on management experience within a Facilities environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day operation of a defined geographical area of buildings that range from High Schools and Primary Schools, to offices, libraries and museums. It will involve the line management of 60+ front line staff including cleaners, Janitors and School Crossing Patrollers.
The role will be supported with further training that looks at:
Absence Management
Performance Management
Dealing with difficult conversations
Hours are flexible to meet the needs of the service and a vehicle will be provided to support the area that this post covers.
Essential
BICS and/or SVQ II in Building Cleaning Substantial relevant experience
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
