Role Purpose
Scottish Borders Council are looking to recruit a Climate Resilience Officer to support a wide range of corporate climate change activity across all Council services.
This post will also interact with multiple local and national organisations involved in identifying and addressing climate risks and increasing the climate resilience of Scottish Borders residents, communities and organisations. A key tool to supporting climate resilience at a local level is through the developing Place Making agenda.
The post is based in the Sustainability Team within the Planning and Housing Service, but will have extensive corporate links to key services.
Essential
Educated to degree level in a related discipline, e.g. environmental/ecological science, land management, or significant relevant demonstrable experience.
