Due to progression, we are looking for a motivated and compassionate Employment Support Worker to join our team. You will work with people on a 1:1 or small group basis to help them reach their potential, build confidence, and move to fair, sustainable employment. What you'll be doing: • Building positive, supportive relationships with participants. • Developing personalised action plans and setting achievable goals. • Supporting individuals to improve confidence, skills and employability. • Helping people access training, volunteering and employment opportunities. • Working collaboratively with employers, partners and local services. • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring progress. We're looking for someone who: • Has excellent communication and people skills. • Is empathetic, encouraging and solution focused. • Can motivate others to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. • Is organised and able to manage a varied caseload. • Has experience in employability or relatable experience.

Responsibilities

Educated to relevant SVQ 3 Level or significant relevant experience A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
