Role Purpose

Graduate Rating Valuation Surveyor
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Assessor Service at a time of significant change and development within Valuation for Non-Domestic Rating and Council Tax.

If you are educated to Degree level in a relevant subject recognized by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), then please consider applying to join our professional valuation team

We are seeking a Graduate Rating Valuation Surveyor to contribute effectively to the Valuation Team, ensuring statutory obligations are met and supporting the Assessor in the delivery of the statutory Valuation for Rating & Council Tax functions.

We provide a structured training plan and have a strong reputation for supporting our trainees to pass the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). You will be able to call on a range of experienced fellow professionals, including APC Assessors, as you build your knowledge and experience.

The Role
As Graduate Rating Valuation Surveyor, you will:
Be committed to undertaking and achieving the requirements of the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (RICS/APC)
Be responsible for survey and valuation work relating to the Assessor’s statutory duties of compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll and the Council Tax Valuation List. within a geographical area.
The nature of the role lends itself to predominantly home working, with flexibility to attend the office or meetings as required and undertake survey work.

About You
You will be motivated and have the ability to work within a team. You will have knowledge of Valuation for Rating & Council Tax practice and the knowledge of various valuation methodologies.

Essential

Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject recognized by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

In addition, the postholder will be committed to undertaking and achieving the requirements of the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (RICS/APC).

 

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
