Job Title: HR Specialist - Recruitment

Contract: Temporary (18 months)
Salary*: £13.67 - £14.84 per hour/ £24,949.18 - £27,084.43 per annum
Training: All training is provided.
We have an 18 month fixed term/secondment opportunity within the Human Resources team in Scottish Borders Council.
Reporting to an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of specialist advice and support to managers and employees to comply with Scottish Borders Council's Recruitment policy & procedures.
The successful post holder will take an active role in the recruitment process, including preparing advertisements, short–listing and interviewing candidates, and ensuring the necessary pre–employment checks are carried out. They will also provide support to managers in the assessment and selection process, including agreeing the assessment process and interview questions ahead of advertising.
The post holder will also look to manage and improve recruitment and selection processes, specifically for our Adult Social Care department, to ensure delivery of a quality candidate experience.
