Council Pension Fund Officers are looking to recruit a suitably experienced person to act as an Independent Professional Observer.

The role will have an initial tenure of 3 years and aims to enhance the governance and decision-making of the Scottish Borders Pension Fund by providing independent observations and additional expertise to the Pension Fund Committee and Pension Board.

Essential requirements include experience in the pension fund industry, understanding of legal and investment aspects, and ability to provide independent scrutiny. Desirable attributes include familiarity with best practices, experience with Local Government Pension Schemes, and working with multi-employer funds.
