Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.
Role Purpose
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated new member of the facilities team to undertake the role of a duel Janitor at the newly built Earlston Primary School and Leadervalley. Both these schools sit within the same locality and are within walking distance. This is a great opportunity for someone to make their mark and take leadership of a very new and exciting site. We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively not only with our service but also with the needs and requirements of the school, staff and education team members.
This 37hr post is predominantly Mon-Friday 52 weeks per year, with hours varying during school holiday periods to meet the needs of the school. Some weekend and evening work may also be required. This is a key holder position with elements of not only janitorial work but also compliance checks, Health and Safety Responsibilities, first aid and general cleaning.
Essential
3 standard grades (general level 3 or above) including English and maths or Equivalent relevant experience.
