Role Purpose

In the Modern Apprentice post you will provide business support to a team of Social Work professionals in the Public Protection Unit.

As part of the apprenticeship you will be required to engage with a training provider to obtain the desired qualification of Business & Administration SCQF Level 6.

You will be required to support the team by undertaking any or all of the following;

• Telephone Answering

• Letter typing and distribution

• Minute taking and distribution

• Use of SBC applications such as Mosaic, Business World, Intranet, One Drive and Microsoft packages

• Processing Police Concern Forms

• Attendance at meetings e.g. Business Meeting

• Being first point of telephone/email contact to the public and Professionals

• Monitoring of Team mailboxes

• Completing Mosaic Incoming Work

 

Essential

In accordance with Scottish Borders Councils priorities, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the Apprenticeship) to qualify for this position.

A good standard of general education
