Salary*: £22.18 - £23.96 / £40,485.94 - £43,734.43 per annum

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is skilled in assessment, reablement, goal setting and moving and handling. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to build strong relationships with people, families and colleagues.

You will be joining the friendly, dynamic and service user focussed team in Garden View. Garden View is an Intermediate Care service providing short term assessment and reablement for people discharged from Borders General Hospital who require additional support prior to returning home.

Garden View has 23 beds across three units with one 8 bed unit providing a specific reablement function. Our service is committed to developing effective and efficient ways of enabling people achieve their outcomes.

You will deliver a responsive occupational therapy service to undertake assessments that support people to return home. We are about to embark on developing a Community Reablement Team as an outreach service from Garden View.

Your input will be key in supporting this exciting development to help inform an effective model of service delivery. You will have a sound knowledge of a range of medical conditions and how they affect the person’s ability to function in their home environment. You must be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
