Role Purpose

The Employability Service is looking for a forward thinking team player to join their Pre-employability Team, assisting individuals towards their employability goals and into sustainable destinations as part of Scottish Governments No One Left Behind Framework. The successful candidate will become a key member of the team responsible for designing and delivering pre-vocational learning and progression opportunities for individuals with multiple barriers, who require support before progressing on to further education, training or employment. We want to hear from you if you are;

- A flexible, person-centred practitioner who is able to provide direct and holistic support on a 1:1 and small group support basis, to individuals throughout the Scottish Borders, based on their individual strengths and needs.
- A proactive, pragmatic thinker who will actively seek opportunities through employer engagement and through exiting and new partnerships with the Local Employability Partnerships, and public and third sector organisations.
- A team player with excellent communication skills who is able to work on your initiative or as part of a larger group.

Good standard of general education


A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
