Role Purpose

Principal Valuation Rating Surveyor

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Assessor Service at a time of significant change and development within Valuation for Non Domestic Rating and Council Tax.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead and develop the Valuation Team, ensuring statutory obligations are met and supporting the Assessor in the delivery of the statutory Valuation for Rating & Council Tax functions.

The Role
As Principal Valuation Rating Surveyor, you will:
• Lead, manage and develop the Valuation Team, ensuring the effective delivery of Valuation for Rating & Council Tax
• Provide expert advice and professional guidance on complex valuation and operational matters
• Support continuous improvement and service development within a changing legislative and professional environment

The nature of the role lends itself to predominantly home working, with flexibility to attend the office or meetings as required.

About You
You will be a confident leader with strong professional credibility and the ability to manage and motivate a team. You will have a sound understanding of Valuation for Rating & Council Tax practice and the skills to operate at a senior level.
