Role Purpose

Scottish Borders Council are looking for an ambitious and dependable Officer to support the delivery of our growing Economic Development Portfolio. The successful candidate will form part of an established team that co-ordinate and support multiple funding programmes that provide economic growth across the region.


Officers will be required to support applicants through the funding application process and carry out monitoring reviews to ensure proposed benefits are realised as projects are delivered. Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with multiple stakeholders is essential.


As well as supporting the delivery of Funding programmes, Programme support officers will aid Economic Development officers in managing the development and delivery of Strategic Projects. This is a rewarding time to be part of team delivering over £50m of funding through Growth deals, UK Funding and Scottish Government funding.
Some evening meetings may be required to facilitate conversations with volunteers in the community. Hybrid working and flexible working arrangements will be considered. We may also consider part-time hours to accommodate the right candidate.

Essential

HNC in Administrative, Business or Financial subject or equivalent experience

Ongoing commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
