Registrars are responsible for providing accurate advice, information, and assistance to members of the public in person and by telephone. The role involves the registration of Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Civil Partnerships, the processing of related documentation using appropriate technological systems, and the conducting of Civil Ceremonies.
We are seeking applicants who are professional, organised, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy are essential. Full training will be provided to successful candidates.
This position offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive team that plays an important role in marking life’s significant events across the Scottish Borders.
If you are motivated by delivering high-quality public service and would like to contribute to this vital area of work, we encourage you to apply.
