Role Purpose
GRADE: 1F
As a School Crossing Patroller, you will play a vital role in safely guiding children. You'll guide children at specific times and points, while considering other road users.

To improve the wellbeing of citizens within the Scottish Borders and making our region a more sustainable and better place to live, work in and to visit.
Responsibilities
- Guiding children safely across roads, whilst considering other road users
- Using provided uniform and equipment for the safety of yourself, children, and the public
- Reporting any problems or difficulties to the Facilities Coordinator responsible for the service operation
- Working alongside your team with no supervisory responsibility
- Working with your team with no budgetary responsibility
Requirements
- Be punctual and responsible
- Have knowledge of the highway code
- Be able to maintain discipline at the crossing point
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
