Role Purpose
Scottish Borders Justice Social Work Service are looking to recruit to a full time social worker post, this is to fill a recent retirement. We are a small, friendly and innovative team. You will be provided with regular supervision and team leaders make a point of being available for consultation or support. We promote home and office working, the benefit of which is a well developed peer support framework. The team includes a range of roles including social worker, justice support officers, wellbeing and peer mentoring. We pride ourselves in promoting good practice in line with NOS whilst ensuring that we deliver to suit the best needs of a rural community. Workloads are regularly reviewed, training and practice development encouraged. The office is in Galashiels, but a comprehensive IT package enables excellent home working opportunities. Flexible working can be considered.
Essential
Degree in Social Work
Professional Social Work qualification
SSSC Registration
Ability to use basic computer packages e.g. Microsoft Work and willingness to undertake further training in the use of computer-based applications as required.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
