Role Purpose

Scottish Borders Council are looking to recruit a Street Lighting Team Leader to work within the Infrastructure & Environment department.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Infrastructure Manger as part of the wider Infrastructure & Environment team, leading in the specific delivery and management of the various Street Lighting disciplines to agreed standards and targets set in the Council’s strategic objectives providing strategic and operational management and direction to a team of staff engaged in the delivery of the Street Lighting service.

Essential

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or evidence of comparable experience and training.

Chartered Engineer, or willing to obtain within agreed timescale on appointment.

Membership of Institution of Lighting Professionals, or willing to obtain within agreed timescale on appointment.

Driving Licence: A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
