Role Purpose
This post is a unique and exciting opportunity to work as a peripatetic teacher across schools within the Scottish Borders, in the Hawick Cluster.
The successful candidate will play an important role within Scottish Borders Council’s Targeted Pupil Support Staff working in partnership with their cluster schools to meet a diverse range of identified pupil support needs, related to:
• Sensory needs
• Neurodivergence
• Speech, Language and communication difficulties
• Attachment
• Barriers to learning linked to behaviours
• Social and emotional wellbeing
• Bilingualism and cultural awareness
The successful applicant appointed to this post will be part of a dedicated Peripatetic team working within the cluster in a targeted pupil support position. The successful post holder will have a role in assessing needs, planning and delivering interventions, supporting the professional learning needs of partners, ensuring the cluster follows local and national policies on inclusion and additional support and consulting and advising other professionals in this field.

Essential
• Hold a Primary or Secondary teaching qualification
• Be registered with The General Teaching Council for Scotland
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
