The Senior Team Leader – Adult Services (LD & ASD) reports to the Executive Manager – Adult Services (LD & ASD) and is a member of both the extended Corporate Management Team of the Council and the Directorate Management Team.
Manage an efficient and effective Adult Services (LD & ASD) in accordance with the Council’s values, objectives, targets and statutory obligations. This includes the following functions: care at home including the intensive and transition support service, short break and respite care, day services, supported accommodation, supported vocational activity.
Provide professional advice to the Executive Manager with respect to the operational development, planning and delivery of the Adult Services (LD & ASD) to ensure the Council fulfils all statutory requirements and implements policies in respect of Adult Services (LD & ASD)

- Salary shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,859 per annum (pro rata)
- Permanent Full Time post for 37.0 Hours per Week , 52.18 weeks per year
- Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
- Politically Restricted Post - this post is designated under the terms of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009, and the postholder is restricted as to the undertaking of political activity
