If so, the Shetland Islands Council is offering an exciting opportunity to work at excellently resourced Lunnasting Primary School, Vidlin

Our beautiful location offers great opportunities for learning and we benefit from an excellently resourced school, at the heart of a caring, supportive community.

Lunnasting Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Vidlin. It provides nursery to P7 education for children from Vidlin and surrounding areas. The structure of the school is 1 nursery class and 2 composite primary classes. There are currently 36 pupils in the school and 12 pupils in the nursery. The school is managed by a teaching Head Teacher. The current Head Teacher is Ms Laura Tulloch. If you would like any further information please get in touch with the school on 01595 745690.

Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.6669 per hour
This post is for 35 hours per week, 28 hours per week are permanent and 7 hours per week are temporary until 06 January 2026
Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
You must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post
