Job Description

What is the Role?

To carry out door to door canvass duties in relation to the Electoral Register. To provide clerical support to a section associated with the maintenance of the Electoral Register.

CLERICAL ASSISTANT/CANVASSER

Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board was established by the Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995 to carry out the valuation functions of East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire and South Ayrshire Councils. It came into existence on 1st April, 1996 and was also given the responsibility of carrying out Electoral Registration on behalf of the three constituent authorities.

The Assessor for Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board is responsible for compiling and maintaining the Register of Electors for East, North and South Ayrshire constituent authorities.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to work within our Electoral Registration team. In addition to carrying out door to door canvass duties in relation to the Electoral Register you would provide administrative support to a section associated with the maintenance of the Electoral Register.

The Grade of these posts are Grade 1 / Level 3, the hourly rate is from £12.81 to £12.96 and the annual salary is from £23,378 to £23,652.
These posts will require the successful applicants to have the ability to travel effectively and efficiently within East, North and South Ayrshire.
