JOB DESCRIPTION

To ensure that the three Ayrshire Councils (North, South and East) are able to respond to civil emergencies, to prepare all necessary contingency plans, to participate in the response to emergency situations and support business continuity.

To engage with multi-agency partner organisations who may be required to respond to an emergency to ensure that there is an appropriate level of preparedness in place, for an effective multi-agency response to manage the full range of emergencies from localised incidents through to catastrophic emergencies.

To support the Ayrshire Civil Contingencies Co-Ordinator and Service Lead – Risk and Safety in providing a range of high-quality services which ensure continuous improvement and efficiency in order to promote a positive organisational culture of empowerment, innovation and change.
