JOB DESCRIPTION

Reablement Service is a free service for South Ayrshire residents aged 18+ that provides
tailored support to people in their own homes for a 6-week assessment period.

The post holder will assist people to remain as independent as possible by supporting them to regain daily living skills and confidence after a hospital admission, a period of illness or an accident.

The post holder will provide extended personal care to the most vulnerable members of the community, in a way that supports the maintenance of the individual’s independence and dignity and offers them a positive choice in their own home.

REQUIREMENTS

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The grade of this post is Level 5.

The work style for this post is Frontline worker.

The work pattern is: Four Day On, Four Days Off - 7.00am to 1.00pm

Successful candidates will be expected to travel efficiently and may be required to work throughout South Ayrshire. You may be provided with a fleet vehicle, whilst on shift; more information can be provided at interview.
