Job Description

What is the role?

To relieve teachers of non-teaching duties including classroom administration and practical tasks such as preparation of teaching materials.

Support the learning activities of children under the direction of the Classroom Teacher / Principal Teacher and other colleagues.

Support pupils with additional support needs of a wide nature which include physical difficulties and challenging behaviour.

Extra Information:

The Grade of this post is Grade 1 / Level 4, the hourly rate is from from £13.78 to £14.09 and the annual salary, adjusted to a term-time working pattern, is from £13,579 to £14,392.

This post is temporary until 27 June 2025.

Interviews for this post are scheduled to take place on 30 January 2025.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
